The Sherburne History Center offers a variety of programs and events suitable for all ages. From interactive exhibits to educational workshops, there is something for everyone to enjoy! Come and explore the rich history of our county with us.
- Multiple DatesSat, Mar 08Sherburne History CenterOne-hour program for kids 0-8 the 2nd Saturday of every month at the Sherburne History Center! Themed story time, craft and snack for kids, and coffee for parents! The theme for March 2025 is genealogy and family trees!
- Sat, Mar 08Sherburne History CenterBring your laptop! In this program we will be looking at resources for finding female ancestors - a difficult task for many of us. We will explore mostly free, online sources. Geared for beginners, but any experience level is welcome.
- Multiple DatesSat, Mar 15Sherburne History CenterMonthly discussion group that gathers at the Sherbune History Center to learn about family history research and discuss their project.
- Multiple DatesThu, Mar 20Elk River Senior Activity CenterMarch Topic: The Irish in Minnesota. A monthly lecture series for seniors hosted at the Elk River Senior Activity Center. Free for members of the Elk River Senior Center, small fee for nonmembers.
- Sat, Apr 05Sherburne History CenterStep into the spotlight and let your voice and words be heard! Share your original poetry in front of other poetry lovers! Beverages and snacks will be provided. Take the opportunity to view the poetry submissions for the Sherburne History Center's Poetry Showcase during the month of April.
- Multiple DatesThu, Apr 10Sherburne History CenterEarly morning birding walks with MN Naturalist Dean Kleinhans through Oak Savannah County Park in Becker, MN.
- Sat, Apr 19Sherburne History CenterBiggest Easter Egg Hunt in Sherburne County! Hunt eggs through 2 miles of county park trails. Separate hunt for smaller kids. Visit with the Easter Bunny. Touch-A-Truck event in the parking lot. Concessions outside, activities inside!
