Fundraising is the life blood of non-profit organizations like the Sherburne History Center. Thirty-three percent of our annual budget comes from donations, fundraisers, and memberships. Past fundraisers for the Sherburne History Center have included our annual “Autumn Lights Gala,” the spring wine and beer event "Rhythm & Brews," donation collections at events, and special challenges like the 2014 “Shave Our History Challenge” where Executive Director Mike Brubaker sacrificed his hair and eyebrows after donors gave over $3000 in one month.
Money raised through these fundraising efforts helps to support the many things that we do, from operations to programs and the preservation or our collections and historic structures. Because of the generosity of donors we are able to present history in area schools and educational entertainment to the community at large. Your donations also help us preserve and present our collection or artifacts and the historic buildings on our property, The Fox House and Bailey Station.
Our Christmas Tree Festival is an annual free family event made possible by donations and fundraisers.
The Sherburne History Center could not operate effectively without the generosity of our community. Thank you so much for all of your support for our mission of preserving and presenting our county’s past in an effort to foster community and affect the future.
